Zai Zai on Kang Xi Lai Liao

Initially, it was Xiao S and the male host talking.....they were poking fun at Zai Zai's pronunciation (*hmph*) and were talking about how they were gonna test him with tongue-twisters later on....

then it was some background info: there have been many idol groups from Taiwan over the years, but currently there are only 13 main ones left....and F4 leads the pack (in fan clubs, or fans, i think)!!!!!!! (5566 is the next, grrrr...followed by comic boys, then tension) haha, i like how they ended off the background info: today, we've invited the idol of the idols, Zai Zai Zhou Yu Min, to come onto the show....HEE HEE

So the show started.
XS: Xiao S (small S)
KY: Kang Yong (male host)

KY: So, there's a shuai ge (good-looking guy) coming on our show today, are u especially happy?
XS: yup.
KY: but he's younger than you!
XS: nah, age doesn't matter, what matters is that he's got a cute face! besides, its not like there's such a big age gap between us....the age gap between you and him is greater
KY: chey, its not as if i care about our age gap, unlike you...

then he started promoting zai zai's album, and the calender that comes with it....

KY suggested to XS that she should go get  zai zai to autograph the calender, then sell each month individually. and she says nah, coz its not as if he's bare-chested. and this somehow led to a big discussion about nipples. more specifically, about XS's obsession with pinching Zai Zai's nipples....
coz the last time he was on ASOS, she actually did it to him, giving him a major shock...!!!  check out how he folds his arms protectively over his chest as XS approaches him....HAHAHAHA

then there was some background info about zai zai, his dramas and albums....

then zai zai described the incident on which XS pinched his nipples!!!!! (u gotta watch him) then KY was like "wow, he's wearing so many layers, how did u manage to aim correctly?" and XS was like "i can do it to you too..!"

the format of the show is such that they invited 3 of zai zai's friends to be on the show, to hopefully spill the beans about Zai Zai's private life.....so they introduced the 3 of them. First guy's Li En, this guy who worked on the set in MG1 and then became Zai Zai's pretty good friend. Second guy's Liu Geng Hong, the guy who played the gay Shan Pu in Poor Prince. and third is Ai Le Fen who's F4's makeup artist who travels everywhere with them.

so anyway XS asked the first guy Li En if he and Zai Zai were close,as in if they would go out with each other....and Zai Zai, anticipating that XS's evil tongue might try to fish out details, he was like "no no no, we're not that close...." (which isn't true, coz as u watch on, Li En always talks about how they would hang out in Zai Zai's house, and go to karaoke and such)
anyway, then XS was like "oh so is he closer to u than F3?" Zai Zai was "oh no no!" then gave a big grin. [which i think means that he didn't mean what he said. i mean im not surprised if Zai Zai's closer to this guy than F3, coz after all, the 4 of them are so busy, and would rarely have time to hang out! it'd be sad if Zai Zai didn't have other friends....]

And then Xiao S started twisting her hands around and saying "ooh, u're avoiding my gaze..." and then Zai Zai was like "be careful where you move your hands!!!" [poor guy must still be traumatised by the nipple pinching incident...haha]

okay so next XS was like okay lets do the tongue twisters now....
An KY was like "but we havent even finished introducing his friends yet!"
and then they started talking more to the 3 guests. They asked if Ai Le Fen was close to Zai Zai and she was like "we're okay"
and XS was like "gosh, Zai Zai, you really have no friends huh"
and then XS asked Geng Hong if he's closer to Jay Chou or Zai Zai and Geng Hong said "Jay Chou" [DUH, Geng Hong and Jay Chou are like best of friends! practically inseparable...but anyway....] then he asked if Geng Hong was close to Andy Lau, and GH was like "nope"... then XS and KY started talking about how u cannot make stars look bad on shows when u're interviewing them, else u'll suffer big-time from the whiplash of the fans....get majorly dissed by their fans and such. and then KY says "and this is why we shouldnt proceed with the tongue twisters..." and XS responded "nah it should be okay, i've done it to him tons of times and i'm still alive and kicking..." then she added as a punchline "ha but actually my left leg's fake...."

and then they started on the tongue twisters....XS attempted to demonstrate, but messed up TWICE....haha
she was like "hey producer, can we cut this part out?"
then Zai Zai managed to say it correctly....yea!!!

okay so they got back to interviewing Ai Le Fen about her relationship to Zai Zai.
XS asked " so out of F4, are u closest to Zai Zai" and she was like "about the same"
KY asked, "so who do u think is the best looking guy out of F4?" and she pondered for awhile, then said " him (zai zai)"....
they zoomed in on zai zai, as she continued joking "oh he gave me money just now to say that..."

then XS asked "so out of the 4 of them, who has the worst skin?"
and then Ai Le Fen was like "erm..."
and Zai Zai was like "fine, fine say its me...." [AWWWW.....he's so protective of his friends! coz he knew who she was gonna say and he didn't want her to say it our....at least this is what i think]

and then Ai Le Fen was like "fine.....its Ken!"
and then Zai Zai was so surprised....(check out his face!!! )he was like "oh, haha, you said it out after all!!!"

then it was Li En's turn....he was talking about how he and Zai Zai got to become friends. He told everyone how initially when they first filming MG1, zai zai was pretty friendly to all the workers (aww....) and then he would go "hey Li En, do u want some spit (tan)???" and then Li En will get all confused and be like "why in the world would i want your spit?" and then he realized that Zai Zai was actually offering him "tanG" (sweets)
haha

so they continued to talk about speech problems. and zai zai admitted that he was very lazy, so he tends to not open his mouth properly when talking, and thus end up eating some of his words, as in the "tan" vs "tang" case....then he told this funny story about this guy he met who was the complete opposite of him, and would over pronounce all his words!!! like rice(fan) this guy would call "fanG"....
so more of his speech problem....Zai Zai was like, hm when i first got to Taipei from Yilan (his hometown) i used to always wonder who caused my speech to be
so bad, and i never found out till one fine day when i went home to visit my mom, and realized that she spoke in the same way that he does occasionally!!! so he was like, ha, so i solved that mystery....!

so the hosts ask zai zai if he was the best-looking guy in yilan....and zai zai had a "what am i supposed to say" look on his face....
then he went on to say, oh yilan's famous for pretty girls, coz they've got really nice skin....

then next, they asked Ai Le Fen if she knew what kind of girls zai zai liked...
and Zai Zai immediately said, "oh, she should know"...
Ai Le Fen said, " gosh, i can't say..." and then the hosts were telling her not to be so shy....and Zai Zai chipped in with "oh, and she specially dyed her hair to appear on this show!"

and then Ai Le Fen's response was "Dog Fart!"
and that shocked everyone, haha. (especially zai zai)
then she said "oh he likes hot girls...." (HM.....)
but zai zai denied that.

then the hosts asked her how she knew, and she said "oh sometimes at autograph sessions, he'll lean over and tell her that wow that fan was really pretty"

haha, so XS asked him, wow so you guys (F4) do take notice and gossip about your fans huh....

and zai zai told the F4 in Singapore/Malaysia story....
he said there was this time they were having this autograph session there, and this REALLY GORGEOUS girl with fair skin (and he was like oh, which is very unusual coz most pple there are usually on the tanned side) and basically all 4 of them were staring at her.....he said she had this shy little smile. he was the last person to shake her hand, and he said while shaking her hand he could see that F3 turned their heads back to stare.... (LUCKY HER!) and imitated their mesmerised looks.
then he said he leaned over to Ken and said "wow, not bad huh" and Ken was like "yeah!!!!"

and after she left they were discussing how they should have tried picking her up by a suggestive handshake....(zai zai demonstrates this finger wiggling handshake...hahahahah)
then he quickly added "oh hey im joking, we were just joking!!! it was really funny then..."

the host was like "but u guys didn't have to be joking, it could have been for real, couldn't it? she's your fan, she would have been more than happy, you know...."

and then zai zai was like " oh no, seriously we were just kidding around..."

next they showed this board with 2 columns :
1. The Zai Zai that we see
2. The Zai Zai that we don't usually see

the first item in column 1 was "princely air, and then ______" (sorry, i don't know what that means...i think it means clean image, ie good boy image)

then they asked Li En whether that was true, and Li En was like "are u talking about his house?" (check out Zai Zai's expression here....he was so tickled!! coz Li En took the literal meaning of the phrase i think.) Li En then started telling them about how Zai Zai's house was definitely NOT clean.
he was like "oh Zai Zai's house is filled with leftover instant noodles, and that Zai Zai always buys cans of drinks back to his house, drinks part of it, then just leaves it on the table. and the next time they visit, not only will the cans still be there, but there would be MORE half drunk cans lying around...!!!! until the table has no more space left...!!!!

then Zai Zai was like oh, whenever i go for autograph sessions, the fans always give me lotsa food, and i would have to depend on Li En and this other friend of mine to help me eat it all up..!!

and then Li En was like, oh and another friend of ours will help zai zai send his clothes to the laundry/wash his clothes (not too sure which he meant)

then the nosy XS was like "oh so is Zai Zai's underwear dirty?"
and Li En was like "erm....i didn't take special notice of it"
then he added "OH but zai zai likes to wear only his underwear at home...!!!!!" and then he was like "oh that zai zai likes to wear his underwear with his socks in his house...!!!"
Everyone cracked up at this, and Zai Zai was raising his hand and saying "wait wait let me explain!!!"

so he was like " Hey i don't wear socks with underwear on purpose! u see, when i reach home i'll strip off my shirt and pants to get comfortable....and then i'll conveniently forget to take off my socks...."

so the first item under the second column was "Zai Zai likes to wear only his underwear in the house..."

then after that they showed some NG clips of Poor Prince....
so the second item under the first column was " Zai Zai's mandarin pronunciation is not accurate" and the second item in the second column was "but his Taiwanese is even lousier...!"

then Zai Zai was like "yeah a lot of pple assume that since i don't speak mandarin that well, i speak Taiwanese at home, but actually we don't"

and then XS was like "oh gosh, then how do you and your family communicate!??!?!" (she was poking fun at how they can't understand each other's poor mandarin, and they can't speak Taiwanese either...)

and then Zai Zai pretended to use sign language.....HAHAHAHA

and KY asked XS, do u htink your Taiwanese is worse, or his is worse....and Zai Zai was like "hers"

so they started reading this board with Taiwanese words on it....
and aparently no one there could really read it properly...haha
(sorry, im no judge since i don't know Taiwanese)

so then they moved on to the third item in the first column which was "Gentle, with retarded responses..."
and KY was like "how can this is a compliment?!?!?!"
XS asked Zai Zai if he was angry with such a desscription....

Zai Zai was like "nope....i'm happy... coz if they have low expectations of me, then if one day i'll be quick with words, then everyone will be pleasantly surprised...."

then Geng Hong was like "Among F4, Zai Zai is the one who most easily makes people laugh..."

and Zai Zai was like "oh usually its me and vanness..."

then somehow Zai Zai started talking about how at press conferences, he thinks its a serious event and so he would wanna wear a suit/tux.
but they'll make him wear the high collared sweaters....
and he'll get all grumpy and say "so, how is this different from what i wore? why do i have to change???"

SO next XS was like "Zai Zai is a really easy going guy, but there are some things that he's very particular about....like he can't go hungry.."

Zai Zai was like "its okay if we work till we're very tired, but u can't deprive a hungry person of food, thats not right...!!"

XS: Big S used to say that u're really nice, but u get all grumpy when u get hungry....so do the workers comfort u when u are grumpy?

ZZ: no!! they will scold me and say "whats with the grumpy face?!?!"

XS: then if Jerry Yan gets grumpy, do they dare do that to him?

ZZ: yeap, they'll do the same! beat it out of him! (whacking motion)

ZZ: nah, i was just kidding. the workers know that when i'm grumpy, it means im hungry, so they will go get some food for me...

so the next item on the second column was "ZZ likes to speed (cars)"
and apparently they wrote the word "speed" wrong, and Zai Zai spotted it!!

XS was amazed, and was like "gosh Zai Zai how did u manage to see that!?!?"

ZZ: erm, well, i DO have eyes....

KY: so what kind of cars do u race?

ZZ: haha, go-cart!!!!!!

Geng Hong was like "yeah he loves cars a lot. i remember him being very proud of his car, a BMW. it was a second hand, but still, he was very pleased with it. tho i heard that he changed to a different car soon after"

SO they asked Li En if he has sat in ZZ's car and raced along before....

Li En: erm, within reasonable traffic standards, i guess...

ZZ chips in "yup, not more than double the speed limit?"

XS: so ZZ, since u love cars so much, will u get really angry if someone scratches your car?

ZZ: yes! i really hate it when people dont take care/appreciate cars....liek for example, if i give someone a lift, and when they get out they slam the door, i'll get really annoyed. and i prob wont wanna give them a lift next time.

Geng Hong: thats coz the car door of the second hand car will fall off....

XS: will u get into an argument with your girlfriend over a car?

ZZ: well, between gf and car, gf's more important!

KY: so XS are u gonna ask so who's his girlfriend?

XS: well, even if i ask, he won't admit to it....

ZZ: what do u mean i won't admit?

XS: okay fine....here, let me show you this question i have on my notecards...its a real question submitted by many people.

KY: how can u show the guest the list of questions??!?!

XS: look here, it asks you about Vivian Hsu and Xu Wei Lun...

ZZ (looks a bit embarassed): Vivian's a good person. So's Xu Wei Lun.

XS asks the 3 of them Li En, Geng Hong and Ai Le Fen: So do u know whether he likes Vivian or Xu Wei Lun?

KY: Ai Le Fen! u answer!

Ai Le Fen (evading the question): Hm...i havent seen him much lately....

Li En: he likes both of them

KY: wow, good (evasive) answer! [honestly, i really do think that ZZ likes Xu Wei Lun....]

ZZ: gosh whats wrong with all of you!?!?! well, when we filmed Love Storm, all of us, the actors and the producers and workers, all of us had a very good relationship. we were like one big happy family! so perhaps thats how the rumours started....

KY: wow, thats such a straightforward (????? im not too sure what "guan fang" meants....) answer...XS, you must have asked a very damaging/piercing question.

XS: okay let me ask another question that im sure he'll give an even more polished (sorry, im not too sure what "Ke Tao" means either) answer....
so, are there conflicts between F4?

ZZ: no, there are no conflicts between F4. *gives a trying to look innocent look* okay okay, i swear there are no conflicts between us! perhaps there are minor ones in the past, but now *stretches hands out*, nothing!

KY: okay so you're willing to spend lots of $$$ on cars? what car do u really want, but havent been able to bring yourself to buy yet?

ZZ: a true sports car....

XS: yucks i hate that kind of cars!

ZZ: yeap perhaps _____(lian hua? lotus flower?) or perhaps a ferrari...

KY: why not???

ZZ: coz i dont feel as though i am of status to buy it yet...if i drive it now, i'll give pple the impression that i'm a kept guy....(hahahhaha)

next item on first column: Prince Charming in girls' hearts

KY: ah, there's no question about this

next column: will go and chat up random girls online....!!!!!!!
[erm, im not too sure if what im saying is right, coz i don't really understand some of the terms they use regarding online stuff]

Li En: whenever we go to him house, he's always playing on his computer....
but one thing i dont understand is, how all the girls always like him? i always ask him if he reveals his true identity, and thats why so many girls like him.

ZZ: i like chatting online coz u never know what the other person is like...u can imagine them to be however u like....and i also like the fact that the other party doesn't know my true identity.....so i just chat to them

KY: hey so have u ever asked them if they like F4???

ZZ -- big grin: Haha, yup! i love to do such things..! so after i get rather familiar with them, i'll ask them if they like any of the Taiwanese idol groups....and then they'll reply with "5566"  and i'll go, anyone else? and they'll say "Energy and BAD"
and i'll go "hm...there used to be this group that was really popular about 2 years ago, are u familiar with F4?" and then they will be like "not much interest"
then i'll go "really....but one of the members Zai Zai is really a good person..."
[HAHHAHAHAHAHAHHA....this part was SO FUNNY!]

XS: so did u convince people to like you?

ZZ: haha, but i did meet some people who really were my fans....then i'll be really happy.

KY: then why dont u let these fans know that you are actually Zai Zai, their idol?

ZZ: haha, there was once when i really couldnt resist. i was like "oh so u like him...im really happy. u know why? coz i am him!" but then everyone thought i was lying....so after that i decided not to confess anymore...! coz the fan was like "yeah right, if u are ZZ then i am Jerry Yan!" and we almost got into an argument!!

XS: so ZZ, you prefer anonymous chatting on the internet to making actual phone calls?

ZZ: well, in real-life, i don't even know who i can call....(AWWWWW......)
