MC (Master of Ceremony): This time, all members of F4 have arrived here in Japan. I’d like to introduce each member. Please welcome, Ken Chu, Vic Chou, Jerry Yan, and Vanness Wu.

(They walked in and sat down and the media applauded. Then MC introduced the interpreters.)

MC: We will let them introduce themselves. Could you please stand up? Okay, let’s start with Ken.

Ken: Hello. I’m Chu Xiaotian, Ken Chu. It’s my honored to be able to meet everybody here. Pleased to meet you.

MC: Thank you. Let’s continue with Vic.

Vic: (In Japanese) Minasan Konnichiwa. Watashi wa Vic desu. Douzo Yoroshiku. (Hello, everybody. I’m Vic. Nice to meet you.)

MC: Thank you. Then, Jerry.

Jerry: (In Japanese) Hajimemashite. Konnichiwa. Watashi wa Jerry desu. Yoroshiku Onegaishimasu. (How do you do? Hello. I’m Jerry. Pleased to meet you.)

MC: Pleased to meet you, too. Then, Vanness.

Vanness: (In Japanese) Ohayou gozaimasu. Watashi wa Vanness desu. Nihon ni kite ureshii desu. Masukomi no minasan, Fan no minasan, Kageshite kurete Arigatou gozaimasu. F4 ouen shite kudasai.
(Good morning. I’m Vanness. I’m glad that I’m able to come to Japan. I have to thank all the media and fans for welcoming us. Please support F4.)

MC: Thank you so much. All of you are really good at Japanese. Okay, you can sit down now.

MC: We will start with my questions. First of all, I’d like to ask Jerry. It’s been a while that all four of you haven’t worked together in a pictorial book, how do you feel?

Jerry: I’m so glad. Like you said that we haven’t worked together for quite a while. For this pictorial book, I feel really happy that this time we could have a chance to work on something new.

MC: Thank you. Let’s continue. This time I’d like to ask Vanness. All fans wish to see a movie that all four of you star together. Do you know anything about the plan for this movie?

Vanness: We all surely want to be in a movie together. If you ask me why, I would say that because then we’ll be able to play and tease one another. (The interpreter whispered something to him. Maybe repeating the question since Vanness seemed to answer something unrelated to the question.) …This time, we had a chance to work together in a pictorial book but the time was too short. If there’s a chance, I’d love to work with them much longer. About the plan for movie, if my company didn’t say anything, then I can’t give you any information.

(The media were laughing)

MC: Thank you. Now the debut album of F4 has been released in Japan. There probably will be more Japanese fans going to Taiwan. I’d like to ask Ken. Are there any places in Taiwan that you’d like to recommend?

Ken: The first place I’d like to recommend is HenChuan (not sure about the name of places that Ken said). It’s a very peaceful place all-year-round and it’s very beautiful. Next, I’d like to recommend islands in Taiwan, like JinMen island and HongHu island (not sure for both names). Both are very beautiful places. I had a chance once to work in Okinawa. I think Okinawa has something similar to JinMen. Things like foods are a little different. If you go to JinMen, you’ll probably be able to see different cultures.

MC: Thank you. Then, I’d like to ask Vic. Today, F4’s debut album is released in Japan, congratulations. I’d like to ask how you feel.

Vic: We, F4, are very happy about our album being released in Japan. After this, not only our music CDs, but also our drama, movies, etc. will also be released. I’d like to ask everybody to support us further more.

MC: Thank you very much. Everybody may notice that Jerry is wearing sunglasses…

Jerry: Oh… (laughing shyly) Recently, I had an accident during my work and it caused injury to my left eye. As a result, I have to wear sunglasses which I really have to apologize to everybody about this.

MC: Thank you. Now everybody understands that. Next, we will continue with questions from the media.

Media#1: I’d like to ask Ken about his movie. In the movie “Sky of Love”, there are many scenes that you have to talk through radio. With those scenes where only your voice could be heard, did you feel it difficult?

Ken: That was my first time starring in a movie. I was quite a novice then. The movie was about two people talking through a gap of time and they only heard each other’s voice. There are so many difficult scenes. However, the director knew that it was my first movie so he gave me an assistant who gave me advices about how to act in such scenes. That helped a lot.

MC: Thank you very much.

Media#2: There aren’t many activities of F4 now in Japan but suppose that you had a concert in Japan and had a chance to meet fans, what would you do?

MC: This question directs to… Jerry?

Jerry: Hmm…(laughing shyly)…What should I say… First of all, I would tell them… “Everybody, thank you for supporting us. We will try our best and will not let you down.”… That should be things that I would like to say to them.

MC: Okay, thank you so much.

Media#3: This time, you came here to shoot for a pictorial book. I’d like to ask Vic what was the funniest thing that happened in this shooting.

Vic: There was an interesting thing. This time all four of us didn’t come to Japan together. We came in pairs. Jerry and Vanness came first. That time, the weather was very good so they got many nice pictures taken. After that Ken and I arrived and all of a sudden it started raining and we could also hear lightning. Hmm…yes, yes, yes. (Vic mumbled to himself). The settings and shooting location were all destroyed. But it was still really fun.

Ken: I’d like to add something. We also had a shooting yesterday. And you know that it also rained yesterday. However, when I wasn’t in the set, the sun came out. So I could think that it rained because of me.

Vic: There is a word “God of Rain” in Taiwan. I wonder if it refers to him.

(Everybody laughed)

Media#4: I heard all of them talked about the pictorial book and feel like I really want to see it. I’d like them to tell us more about this pictorial book, like what kind of pictures that they like most, etc. Let’s start with Vanness.

Vanness: Speaking of the outstanding point of this pictorial book, I’d like everybody to see how much we’ve grown up. And…Er…

Vic: (helping Vanness answered the question) To see each person’s charm.

Vanness: And to see each person’s charm. Thank you, Zaizai… And … Even though we already released many pictorial books before, this one will be different. Hmm… like, for myself, if compared to the other three, they become so wonderful, a lot better-looking than in the past. But for me, I didn’t change at all. I’m still the same.

MC: How about Jerry?

Jerry: Having a chance to work with all of them, I’m really, really glad.

Vanness: Didn’t you say this just before?

Jerry: (laughed shyly) And…I expect that this pictorial book will come out nicely. When it is released, if everybody takes a look and likes it, I’ll be very happy.

MC: Thank you so much. Let’s move to the next question.

Media#5: I’d like to ask Vanness this question. Previously, you starred in a movie “Star Runner” and now you’re working in a new movie “Dragon Squad”. They are all action movies. I’d like to know how you train yourself or how to control your diets for the action movie, since it must be a lot different from dancing practice, etc. Also, please tell us more about this new movie.

Vanness: I exercise so often that it becomes my habit. Whenever I have time, I must go to gym. I have to maintain my shape because my body gets fat pretty easily. It’s totally different from these three guys (Jerry, Vic, and Ken). They are so smart and so handsome, really different from me.

(Everybody lauged)

Vanness: About the new movie, it is a really big production. We have Steven Seagal to help in the production. So, the filming effects in this movie must be very good. Everybody works so hard for this movie and I believe that it will come out to be very charming.

MC: Okay, thank you very much. We’re running out of time so this will be the last question. In June, there will be an establishment of F4’s official fan club. It will be their first official fan club and it will be established in Japan before any other countries, which is so honorable to us. Also, they have their debut album “Meteor Rain” released in Japan today. Later, there will be F4’s film festival. Morever, there will also release their pictorial book. All fans will be waiting for their movies, pictorial books and their music. I’d like each of the F4 members to say something to the fans. Let’s start with Vanness.

Vanness: (In Japanese). Doumo Arigatou Gozaimasu… Er… Aishiteru.
(Thank you very much. Er… I love you.)

(The media applauded.)

MC: Could you speak something more please, Vanness?

Vanness: (Laughed embarassingly.) I can’t. (He had a small note hidden in his hand. Probably the Japanese phases he just said. Hahaha…Caught in the act)

Vanness: All four of us are really happy. I think we’re so lucky. From the first time that we released our album until now, we have had so many fans, from Japan, from South East Asia, etc., to support us in many ways. Their supports become the power to keep us working….and…

Vic: (whispered to Vanness who seemed to have no idea what else to say) We’re honored.

Vanness: Thank you, Zaizai. We are so honored and we will continue doing our best.

MC: Thank you so much. Let’s continue with Jerry.

Jerry: Er…(kept smiling)… I also think the same… that we all are so lucky. The four of us can combine our strengths together and we won’t throw away this chance. In order to show good works to everybody, we will keep working hard.

MC: Thank you, then Vic.

Vic: I also think the same. Ah…Sumimasen. (In Japanese = Ah…Excuse me. Probably because he repeated the others’ answer…hahaha…) I think we are so lucky. We have to thank everybody. So many fans have supported us since we released our first album until now. And this time, there will be our official fan club in Japan. I’ll like to find some time and come to Japan. Maybe to work in Japan so I may have a chance to exchange something with Japanese fans. If we could do that, we would have to ask for supports from everyone. Thank you.

MC: Thank you so much. We’ll be looking foreword to it. Then, the last one, Ken.

Ken: Having a chance to come here, I feel that it’s our honor... I didn’t repeat the others’ answer. (Laughing). I have learned so many things from coming to Japan this time. Especially, I learned that Japanese staff worked very hard and were really professional. It makes me wants to be stricter to myself when I go back to Taiwan and work so that I can produce good works. I have to thank them so much.

MC: Thank you.
