Zi Lin

Played By : Jerry Yan Cheng Xu Description : Zi Lin is Zi Lian's younger brother. He was eighteen when he met Gen/Geng Sha on the trip to Japan to visit his father. His father and mother are divorced. He is childish and cute. He falls in love with Gen/Geng Sha, who is much older than he is and they spend four happy days together. When he returned to Taiwan, he immediately went to find her. He is heartbroken when Gen/Geng Sha leaves him and after that, he was never able to forget her. He started dating girls on and off and getting into fights very often. He expresses his love for Gen/Geng Sha and the pain in his heart, even though he knows that she will soon be his sister-in-law.

Gen Sha or Geng Sha

Played By : Karen Mok Description : Gen/Geng Sha first finds Zi Lin very annoying. However, she falls in love with him, even though he is much younger than she is. She denies Zi Lin's true love for her and returns to Taiwan but she can't stop thinking about him. He is afraid that his love would not be true because he was only a teenager. She is forced to leave him when his mother asks her to let her son go. She loves Zi Lin but decides to let him go. Later, she meets Zi Lian/Zi Liang, Zi Lin's older brother. They are engaged and returns to Taiwan to arrange their marriage. At the Taipei airport, Zi Liang's father is waiting for them. Zi Lin and his mother arrives and recognize Gen/Geng Sha. She is torn between her love for Zi Lin and her engagement with his brother.

Zi Lian or Zi Liang

Played By : Jacky Cheung Description : Zi Lian/Liang is Zi Lin's older brother and Gen/Geng Sha's fiance. He does not know about the relationship between his brother and his wife. He is deeply in love with Gen/Geng Sha and feels that he is the luckiest man alive to have Gen/Geng Sha has his wife. He accidently discovers their relationship after he and Gen/Geng Sha are married when he finds a photo of them in Japan in one of her books.

Ah Chuan

Played By : Tao Da Wei Description : Zi Liang's father. He is witty and wants to get back together with his wife. He begs for the help of his sons to get his wife back. He finally proposes to her and promises to give her happiness.

Mei Zhi

Played By : Li Xuan Description : Zi Lin's mother. She lived with Zi Lin after the divorce. She did not want Gen/Geng Sha to be dating her son, who was so much younger and still in school. However, the years after were spent living in regret for having done such a thing to Gen/Geng Sha. She finally agrees to marry her ex-husband again and they are married with Zi Lian/Liang and his new wife.

Mei Su or Mei Shu

Played By : Winnie Qian Wei Sha (Teng Tang Jing of Meteor Garden I and II) Description : Mei Su/Shu is Gen Sha's college roommate. They are best friends and go on a trip to Japan together, where she meets Gen Sha's high school friend, A Sen/Ah Tseng. Beside Zi Lin's mother, she is the only one who knows of Zi Lin and Gen/Geng Sha's relationship.

Jing Jing

Played By : Zhang Ben Yu Description : Jing Jing is the manager or owner of the music/video store that Zi Lin worked at. Zi Lin sleeps at her house when he does not go home. She likes Zi Lin but they are only friends. Zi Lin uses her to make Gen/Geng Sha jealous. She asks him to cooperate with him in a CD investment, which he has no choice but to agree to. This leads him to work with Gen Sha on a project.

A Sen or Ah Tseng

Played By : Guo Shi Lun Description : Mei Su/Shu's husband. She met him at the airport on the trip to Japan with Gen/Geng Sha in 1997, who had a crush on him until she fell in love with Zi Lin. Geng/Gen Sha knows him from high school. He was the captain of the basketball team. Mei Su/Shu has been married to him for three years.
