Lesson 3 : F4's Roles Complications

- The first to settle on a role was Vanness acting as Mei Zuo, even though he wanted to play the role of Lei, as there are less speech.

- Ken tried out for the role of Dao Ming Si, but he wanted to play Lei, hence it was undecided.

- Angie Cai heard about Jerry on the newspaper and felt that he suited the role of Dao Ming Si and told him to attend the try-outs. But he came to try out for the role of Xi Men. It was then that the role of Xi Men and Dao Ming Si was decided - Ken and Jerry.

- Finding the person for Lei was the hardest, until Angie saw Zaizai waiting for a friend, his 'fa dai' expression landed him the role of Lei. He didn't want to act at first so Angie told him to attend classes, then he couldn't refuse and agreed to give the role a try.

- Da S knew that Angie was looking for F4, hence suggested Zhong Han Lian, who ended up playing the role of Ah Song. Also in Marmalade Boys, the role played by Wu Zhong Tian (Xiao Ming's teacher) also tried out to become F4 but was also unsuccessful.

Zaizai and Jerry:
It was originally for ZZ and Jerry to film the series but due to reports at the time claiming that Jerry is gay, hence they took him out of the role.

Zaizai and Ken:
After much promotion, Ken took over the role of Shan Pu. He even said that he invested lots of money in the clothing to make himself fit the role of a gay. But in the end, due to fimling of Meteor Rain - Xi Men Pian, he had to change to a different role in the series.

- Vanness was to act as Ah Li and Jerry as Dong Si Seng. After filming the first episode, the filmint was haulted for quite a while, Comics were not allowed to continue filming because Angie was not satisfied with one of the roles. After the stoppage, Jerry's had health problems and hence his role had to be changed.
