Lesson 36 : F4 and Dating

Do you still remember the lesson about what type of girls that F4 like? Well...that was about what they looked for...but what about in real life?

ZAI ZAI
ZZ once said that he was the type that fell in love very quickly. If he met someone cute, clean and respective, then they would be together very quickly. During the early days, ZZ revealed about his dating experiences: "My first love was during the second year of high school. That girl had short hair and often played basketball with her friends. I liked her because of her activeness, as most girls would not play such sports." When ZZ was asked to be more specific about the type of girls he liked, he replied saying that she must have a variety of personalities, active, playful but also quiet at times. He said that was probably because he was a gemini.

ZZ is probably someone that is full of love, at such a young age, he has had 5 girlfriends. In the last lesson, we read about how he was willing to run around for that girl...before work, lunch and after work...even sacrificing his sleep, we can deduce that his attitude towards love is:
"Giving at all costs. Some would say that 'because I am unsure whether she loves me or not, I will not give out too much, I will wait for her to 'give' first and then follow', but I believe this is wrong..." - on Phoenix Channel

He even vowed: "If we love each other, then we must treat each other well, because to find that special someone is not easy. I don't know how well she will treat me but I already know how to treat her...We must often go out for a walk, take her to places that I have been to or places she wishes to go...we can slowly make our way there, there's plenty of time. Because we will be together for a lifetime. When I go overseas then, I will not be homesick because we would have taken our family along..." - Liu Lang Meng

At the moment, ZZ is still single, he has broken up many times but still maintains good relationships with those girls. But breaking up is a hurtful experience, it's the same for everyone. Once, when ZZ had a fight with his ex-girlfriends, it resulted in him crying the hardest he had ever cried in his lifetime.

VANNESS
Vanness has always said he likes the typical cartoon girl, with large eyes, lively...but there are many girls with such attributes, hence causing alot of misunderstandings from the media. Such as da S, Elva and now Vivian...

When he had a girlfriend, he was like ZZ, very 'zhuan yi' - he would be there to pick her up and drop her off, going out to eat and the movies. During Valentines Day, because he wanted to give his girlfriend in America a surprise, he ordered a bunch of roses, chocolate and a card, then requested a friend to deliver it to her doorstep. He even tried what San Cai did for DMS, creating a biscuit house for her as a present...very romantic...

Vanness has had 3 girl friends. The last one, he dated for about 2 years, they broke up after 6 months of him returning to Taiwan. The long distance relationship did not work out and he has not dated since...

Vanness is the type of hide his pain inside. Many times when asked about how he felt, he would avoid answering the question. But it was during the filming of Meteor Rain Mei Zuo Pian and a MyMuch interview that the topic was brought up again. The tears in his eyes could not be held back and his hurt and pain was fully expressed.

KEN
Independent minded Ken, once said this about himself:
"I like to relax when it comes to the issue of love, because it's something between two people, only slowly and gradually can we make it work out. What I dream about love - finding that somone who can understand me and I can understand her just by a look in the eye or a single movement."- 1st Anniversary Book

Ken wanted a simple life - a job, a girlfriend and comics...that was enough...but that is now of the past.

What type of girls does he like? Mysterious...he once said that he also liked girls that are "xiao shun" but was never specific...so we are still yet to find out!

JERRY
He likes girls that are...mature, respective and understand his inner world. But this shy guy, is afraid of rejection and hence is proactive when it comes to love. He also enjoys 'an4 lian', he likes to be secretly in love with someone and not tell them...

To be honest, he has had two experiences with dating...is that a miracle in itself?

Jerry mentioned that because of his looks, people are misguided into thinking that he has a very bad temper, but that is not the case. He is very attentive to his girlfriends.
"I still remember during high school, my girlfriend and I made a date on Valentines Day to get presents for each other. To give her a surprise, I started collecting chocolate receipes a few days earlier. I wanted to make some chocolates for her and I did. I wrapped it up and on that day, when we exchanged gifts, I found out that she had also hand-made chocolates for me. That was just a blissful moment for me..." - Holiday Mag

During one interview, he said that he treated his girlfriend really well...to the extent that he even bought her "pads" for her! He set a record of waiting for his girlfriend for six hours!

When was about to leave the army, he received a letter from his girlfriend saying she wanted to break up. He recollected:
"That was the saddest time in my life. We have been going out for 4-5 years. Then that letter all of a sudden...I almost wanted to jump into the sea to spare myself the misery. I remember comforting a friend once saying that it's ok, don't be sad, there's more girls in this world that her...but it was that moment I realised that it was all rubbish! I worked so hard...but she found herself another boyfriend!! So I must thank my friend for saving me from depression."

We can see that the four guys all know what love is...so JIA YOU!! "Ni men yi ding yao xin fu!!"
