It starts out at Zi Lin's house and it is dinner time. Mom and Gen Sha are bringing food to the table.
Mom:" It's been along time since I've been this happy. It's like I haven't eaten steam boat (directly translated) for a long long time because when you eat steam boat you must eat together with the whole family otherwise you won't get the same feeling. At my age, my request is really simple. I just hope you and Zi Lian with live happily."
Gen Sha: "Thank you."
Zi Lian (walking in with some food): "What are you guys talking about that is making you so happy."
Dad (walking in): "If you met Gen Sha earlier then we would probably have grandchildren by now."
Zi Lian: "Same here, it would have been better if I met her earlier."
Dad: " It's still not too late, come, come...sit."
Mom: "Sit first."
Dad: "You two made so much food. Oh right, when will you plan on holding your wedding?"

He walks to Gen Sha and Zi Lian and stands in between them resting his arms on their two chairs.
Zi Lin: "I came all dressed up and you guys are at home eating steam boat. 
Gen Sha starts to look uncomfortable.
Zi Lin (untying Gen Sha's hair, which was originally tied up): "I think that sister in law looks much better when her hair is down. Sister in law how are you? My name is Xi Lin."
He hands his flowers to her and Zi Lian takes them and puts them away. While he is doing this Xi Lin he bit Gen Sha's right ear gently making her feel even more uncomfortable. He then walks away.
Dad: "Alright you've acted cool long enough, come sit down and eat your dinner."

Dinner is over and Gen Sha and Zi Lian are about to leave. Gen Sha doesn't look too well.
Zi Lian (talking to his dad): "The room can be separated, you and mom..."
Dad: "Yes...we can."
Zi Lian: "So we are going to go to the hot springs next Sunday right?"
Dad: "Ok."
Zi Lian: "Xi Lin, come with us."
Zi Lin: "It's alright, I don't want to be a light bulb, you guys have fun."
Zi Lian: "Ok then, Ma, I'm going now."
Mom and Dad say goodbye while Zi Lin walks back to his room and his mom looks at him go.

Gen Sha and Zi Lian are at the hot springs and probably rented a place and they are in their room.
Gen Sha: "Wow! So beautiful!"
Zi Lian: "Too bad Dad sprained his ankle and can't come, I think Dad and Mom are disappointed."
Gen Sha: "You could have brought mom here."
Zi Lian: "Zi Lin will be coming in a little bit."
Gen Sha (a little mad): "Why didn't you tell me?"
Zi Lian: "The room will be separated into two anyways. Then they won't be able to disturb us. It's been a long time since I've talked to him. He seems good right now. What's wrong? You can't get along with Zi Lin?"
Gen Sha shrugs and walks away and sits down on the steps. Zi Lin goes to join her.

And the two children run off.

Zi Lin turns towards Jing Jing while Gen Sha looks down uncomforably. When she looks up, Zi Lin is suddenly holding Jing Jing's face, who is very surprised  and  kissing her  very passionately. He smiles and puts his arms around her.
Zi Lin (smiling and waves): "Bye."
Gen Sha is looking very uneasy and avoids looking at Zi Lin. She looks over at Zi Lian and puts her scarf around her neck, forcing a smile.
Zi Lian (taking his hand and reaching over the table to take Gen Sha's hand): "He's like that, don't mind him."
The hold hands and leave the restaurant. 

It is late night and they are at the hot springs or some kind of a resort. Gen Sha is sitting on a step in a Japanese white robe, drinking something from a small cup. Zi Lin comes out of his room and is walking towards her, also in a white robe. He stands next to her, holding a Heinekens beer can.
Zi Lin (leaning against a wooden pole): "I've done it with Jing Jing a good few times."
Gen Sha looks towards him out of the corner of her eyes and remains silent.
Zi Lin (looking out in front of him): "You and my brother don't seem to be up to much. Men who have been overlooked by you, being togetherwith other women, you won't feel uncomfortable, right?"
Gen Sha is looking away with an expression of discomfort and still not acknowledging him. 
Zi Lin: "Selfish, rebellious..."
Gen Sha (finally looking up at him): "Why have you changed like this?"
Zi Lin (sits down): "I just feel tired. All the women that I've played with, in the end, are all the same. The feeling of the body...still, you're the best."
Zi Lin strokes her leg with his fingers gently. Gen Sha squirms a little. 
Zi Lin: "For the old feelings' sake, (smirks) lets do it again. I'm not the same as I was in the past. (looking up towards the sky) Because of you, every type of women, I've played before. "
Gen Sha is looking away, looking like she can't stand it anymore. 
Zi Lin (stroking her hair): "Your hair...is still the same as it was before. (He closes his eyes, takes the strands and sniffs it) On the bed... your hair will becomes a layer...spread out around your neck. (He opens his eyes and lets her hair go) The sexiest. (He gets up, leaning on against the pole, looking down at her) It must be very boring being with my brother. (He takes his hand and lifts Gen Sha chin up, she closes her eyes like she can't bear it. He kisses her neck? I can't really tell...she opens her eyes in surprise) Or will you treat him like you do to me? Properly teaching him?"
Gen Sha pushes him away in disgust and slaps him. 
Gen Sha (turns with her back facing Zi Lin, who is glaring up at her): "You want to blame me, I have nothing to say. But if you insult your brother, I won't forgive you."
Gen Sha leaves and Zi Lin stares after her. 

Gen Sha is at the hairdresser's/barber shop. 
Gen Sha (speaking without emotion): "Cut it off."
Male Hairdresser: "Miss, your hair is so beautiful. (Gen Sha looks in the mirror very unhappily) Wouldn't it be a shame to cut it?"
Gen Sha (irritated): "Cut it all off."
Male Hairdresser (walking behind her): "Cut it all? Will you reconsider, miss?"
Gen Sha twirls a strand of hair around her finger and studies it, thinking. She lets it go and brushes her hair aside, holding up her head with her hand.
Male Hairdresser (takes a comb and combs her hair back): "The way I see it, you look like you want it straightened or do you want to tie up? (he swings her hair up)  If you only want to change the feeling...there should be a lot of options for you to consider. "

At the mall, Mei Su is waiting for Gen Sha and looking at her watch. Gen Sha sneaks up behind her and pulls her hair.
Mei Su: "Eh, you got a new hairstyle and you didn't tell me?"
Gen Sha: "How is it?"
Mei Su: "Umm...it looks good, it gives you a more lively look."
Gen Sha: "Yep, this new look isn't too bad. So what are we going to buy?"
Mei Su: "I bought some things already."
Gen Sha: "Where did you buy them? Who's it for?"

Zi Lin is walking a long the edge of a overpass and Zi Lian walks up to him with two cans of beer.
Zi Lian: "How were you in these recent years?"
Zi Lin: "Nothing happened, same as before."
Zi Lian: "How about a girlfriend?"
Zi Lin: "Girlfriend...a lot, which one are you talking about?"
Zi Lian (smiling and swats down): "Aiya...A few days ago, mom talked to me. She said that these past few years, you're often out there getting into fights. You often don't go home and you keep changing girlfriends.

Zi Lian (smiling): "Almost ready. I think that I am really very fortunate to be able to wed  Gen Sha as my wife. In Japan, she takes care of everything for me so that I don't have to worry. " 
Zi Lin: "Yeah, big brother really is very fortunate. A good man  like big brother ought to have found  such a good wife."
Zi Lian: "You will too."

Gen Sha and Mei Su are walking down a street. Mei Su pauses in front of a window display of clothes in front of a boutique. 
Mei Su (points to the display): "Ay, Gen Sha, look at that. Will you go in with me to try it on? I should be able to where it on the day you're inviting guests...(turns around a looks at Gen Sha, who walks back and forth fustrated and aimlessly) Gen Sha, what's wrong?
Gen Sha (hands on her hips, unable to stand still): "I can't forget him."
Mei Su:"Gen Sha, its already been three, four years. Boys of that age have probably longed changed. (Gen Sha has her arms crossed, looking down at the ground, Mei Su takes her arm and hold her hand) Gen Sha, you will be happy marrying Zi Lian."

Zi Lin is holding his bottle of beer in front of him and pointlessly staring at it. Zi Lian is still swatting beside him.

Zi Lian walks by behind him. 
Dad (looking desperate): "Ay, ay..."
Zi Lin: "Have you practiced enough yet?"
Zi Lian walks past his dad and turns his head back.
Dad (talking really fast, hands flailing all over the place): "I'm telling you guys, when the evening comes, you two have to help me. (Zi Lin walks past his dad, towards his brother, head down) Must help me "beat backside."
Zi Lian (leading Zi Lin): "Let's go over there."
Zi Lin follows. Dad angrily puts his hands on his hips. 
Dad: "Traitors! (raises his fist in the air and points in their direction) Both of you are traitors! 
Zi Lin (shouts back from nearby): "Who told you to be so desperately wanting  to marry? You deserve it."
Dad sighs and marches off in the direction of his sons. 

Dad is kneeling in front of mom who is sitting down in a chair. Zi Lian and Gen Sha are cuddling on the sofa behind them, laughing. 
Dad (holding his index finger up): "If you don't so yes, I won't get up."
Mom (shifts over in her seat a little): "What are you doing? You're not even embarrassed in front of your son."
Dad: "Embarrassed? How would I have children if I am embarrassed? (He chuckles a little, Gen Sha and Zi Lian are still giggling. Mom doesn't look amused at all. Dad gets a little worried) No! I....this time, I will definitely give you happiness."
Mom (not believing him and look away): "Hm! Last time you didn't give me happiness."
Dad motions towards Zi Lian to help out. 
Dad: "Hurry up and help me out here."
Dad turns back to his ex-wife with a big smile.
Zi Lian: "Ma, just give dad one more chance."
Zi Lian lightly hits his dad's back and tries to hand him the ring.
Dad (reaches back, trying to grab the ring): "Right! (he gets the ring) Ay! (chuckles and holds it in front of his ex wife) Look, a ring! (Zi Lian's mom looks away but is smiling) Zi Lian (referring Zi Lian and Gen Sha) also said that if the two of us get married, they will hold their wedding along with ours. However, if you don't consent, their wedding will fall through."
Mom (takes the ring from him): "Don't use the children to put  pressure on me."
Dad (turns around to Zi Lian): "What does that mean?"
Zi Lian (looks upward): "Congratulations! Congratulations! (Dads starts laughing and gets up to kiss his wife on the cheeks.) Congratulations to you!"
Zi Lian's mom is laughing lightly. Dad turns around to Zi Lian.
Dad (happy and excited): "Great, great, great...too good! Then, lets allow the women to do the planning for our weddings. Us guys will go out and have a drink to celebrate! How about it?"
Gen Sha: "Don't drink too much."
Dad (holds Zi Lian's out in front of them, kind of tango style hand and gallops away happily): "No problem...no problem. Let's go...let's go..."
Gen Sha gets up and sits next to her mother-in-law happily.
Gen Sha (puts her arms around her shoulders and hugs her): "Congratulations! Congratulations!"
Mom (hold out the ring,smiling): "Look."
Gen Sha takes the ring and studies it. Her mother-in-law notices her haircut and begins to smooth her hair. 
Mom: "I like your hairstyle! It looks much livelier."
Gen Sha (looks down at her hair): "Really?"

Dad and Zi Lian are sitting at the dining table, each drinking a bottle of Heinekens and playing Chinese chess.
Dad: "Right, you two...don't just chat, on the wedding day, what are us guys going to wear? You have to think about it.
Mom (looks at Gen Sha): "What to wear?"
Gen Sha: "Suits. (scratches her head, smiles) What else would they wear?"
Dad (looks up from the chess board): "Oh, also, think for Zi Lin.  Don't let him wear something that is torn here and torn there to attend  the day of the wedding."
Gen Sha looks a little uncomfortable.

Gen Sha: "Mom, I'm really sorry. His stomach has always been not too good and tonight he was drinking."
Mom: "How come he's like that?"
Zi Lian (leans against the wall): "Sorry mom. I'm troubling you again."
Mom: "What are you saying? This is your home. (pats him on the arm) You can live here for awhile. (puts her arms around Gen Sha and lightly taps him on the face) I'm can't happy enough.  Its been awhile since you've lived at home."
Gen Sha (holding his arm): "Hurry up and get some rest."
Zi Lian (stands up a little straighter): "I'm going to take some medicine first. You guys have a nice little chat."
Gen Sha kisses Zi Lian on the cheek. Zi Lian goes into the bedroom. Mom and Gen Sha walk back through the hallway, holding hands. 

Gen Sha follows her new mom into the kitchen. 
Mom (leans over the center island): "I can't seem to take it anymore . You are still ok? You can really drink."
Gen Sha (smiles): "Mommy, go get some sleep. I can take care of everything."
Mom: "Leave the dishes for Chun Sao to wash tomorrow morning." 
Gen Sha nods and smiles. Mom pats her on the shoulder.
Mom (starts to leave): "Sleep early."
Gen Sha turns around, heads to the stove, and takes a pot to the sink.

Zi Lin is sitting in a bar drinking. He leans over the counter glaring at nothing and looking very unhappy. A girl in a pink, thin strap dress walks up beside him.
Girl (put her arm on his shoulder): "Wei, Lin, how come you haven't come to look for me in so long?"
Zi Lin turns his head the other way, ignoring her. She walks over to the other side of him.
Girl: "What are you busy with lately?"
She leans over the counter next to him and Zi Lin turns away again.
Zi Lin (picks his head up and says without any enthusiasm): "Busy with marriage."
Girl (stands up staighter): "What? You're getting married?"
Zi Lin: "Busy watching other people  get married."
Zi Lin takes a drink.
Girl: "You scared me there! You need to speak more clearly."
Zi Lin looks angry and gets up to leave. 
Girl (putting her hand on his shoulder): "Ay, where are you going?"
Zi Lin puts his bottle on the counter.
Zi Lin (turns to her): "I'm going home to sleep."
Zi Lin turns away.
Girl (clinging onto Zi Lin's arm flirtingly): "Detestable! If you want to sleep, then come to my place and sleep. I never said I'm not letting you sleep."
Zi Lin (turns to her): "Don't you have a boyfriend? Get him to sleep with you."
Zi Lin starts to leave. She was about to hold him back but looks startled. 
Girl's boyfriend (angrily): "Little bastard! How dare you touch my chick?"
Zi Lin (to the girl, speaking provokingly): "The guy who'll sleep with you is here."
Looks at the guy with a "watcha gonna do" look. 
Girl's boyfriend (yells): "Fuck/Damn! ( I think its a curse but I'm not sure which one... hehe, sorry)"
Girl: "Ay!"
The guy takes a beer bottle from the nearby counter and hold it in the air, ready to strike Zi Lin. Zi Lin is shocked and lifts his left arm over his forehead. The sound of a glass bottle and then darkness...

The kitchen clock reads 1:10 AM. Gen Sha is leaning over the center island, holding a cup with both her hands and looking towards the doorway. Zi Lin walks in with his hand down, holding his left arm with his right. Gen Sha puts her cup down suddenly, startling Zi Lin who notices her. 
Gen Sha (walks over to him): "Zi Lin!"
Zi Lin: "Shhhhhh..."
Gen Sha (speaking softly): "What's wrong with your arm? (she holds his arm)"
Zi Lin (pushes her hand away): "I'm fine."
Gen Sha: "There's blood."
Zi Lin (whispering demandingly): " I won't die. You don't need to worry about me. Quickly go o to sleep!"
Gen Sha (turns around): "I'm going to get the medicine kit."
Zi Lin starts walking out of the kitchen. Zi Lin is sitting on the floor, leaning on the end of his bed, looking at his wound. The door to his bedroom is open. Gen Sha peeks in, holding the medicine kit. 
Gen Sha (leans against the doorframe): "Can I come in?"
Zi Lin (hardly looks at her): "My mood today isn't very good at all. Be careful around me."
Gen Sha looks down at the medicine kit and pauses before taking a few steps  into his room.
Zi Lin: "If you're not afraid of danger, then come in."
Gen Sha quickly walks in a places the kit beside him. Zi Lin is looking avoiding looking at her. Gen Sha starts to tend to his wound. 
Gen Sha (softly): "Your wound is very deep."
Zi Lin (responding immediately): "What are you really trying to do?"
Gen Sha (ignoring his rudeness): "Do you want to go to the hospital?"
Zi Lin (raising his voice): "I don't need you to care!"
Gen Sha avoids looking him straight in the eye. There is a brief awkward silence between them.
Gen Sha: "You got into a fight with someone?"
Zi Lin slightly winces.
Zi Lin: "A guy, just like a bear, smashed me with a beer bottle."
Gen Sha: "You can still joke."
Zi Lin: "This kind of thing happens all the time anyway. (staring straight ahead at nothing in particular) Men are really idiots. Because of a girl anyone can get, ending up like this."
Zi Lin gives a little sigh and Gen Sha pauses.
Gen Sha: "Why can't you be in an ordinary relationship?"
Zi Lin slowly turns to her, a little disgusted. Their gazes meet for the first time.
Zi Lin: "Why are you saying this to me? (pushes her away) What right do you have to say that?"
Zi Lin gets up and walks towards his desk. Gen Sha is on the floor, not moving after being roughly pushed. 
Zi Lin: "You don't need to fuse over the wound on my body.  If you really want to tend to people's wound...why don't you come and cure the pain you have caused me? Be in an ordinary relationship? (raises his voice a little) Easy for you to say! (looking tormented) How can I person like me be in an ordinary relationship? (pause - Gen Sha remains silent) Having been  betrayed by the person you love, how can you expect me to trust women? Because of you, I've learned that if you want a woman, then you only need to make love, be selfish, and  lie, it is enough."
Gen Sha (shakes her head and gets up of the floor, squatting and whispering): "No...no, its not like that."
Zi Lin: "Its not like that? Weren't you only toying around with me?! Waiting until you feel that I'm troublesome, whiny, (raises his voice) then, with one kick, you throw me out!!! (Gen Sha starts picking up the stuff she took out to tend to his wound) You and the other women, aren't so different!"
Gen Sha (gets up suddenly and throws what she was picking up roughly): "THAT'S ENOUGH OF YOU! Don't talk about me like that! "
Zi Lin (coming towards her): "Aren't you like that? Then what are? Then what are you? Tell me!!!"
Gen Sha (pushes him away, very upset): "I was scared!"
Zi Lin (shouting at her): "You're scared?!"
Gen Sha (talking fast): "I was scared that you were so young back then and you sacrificed so much for me! (burying her face in her hands and starts to break down) However,  I couldn't give you anything!"
Zi Lin: "You mean...all of this (Gen Sha turns away but Zi Lin grabs her arm and turns her around) was me... I forced upon you?"
Gen Sha (breaks out of his grasp): "It was my fault."
Zi Lin (looking hurt and starts to fall onto the bed): "But...you still end up  messing up my world. (he sighs, looks up at her, and hugs Gen Sha tightly around the waist) Sorry (he has a painful expression on his face...poor Jerry!!!! T-T) I didn't intentionally want to say those words to hurt you. (Gen Sha starts to hug him) Besides you, I don't want anyone else. I only want you. I really don't know what to do. Can you tell me? Give me another chance, won't you? Gen Sha..."
Gen Sha (starts to break away): "It's too late. I am already your sister-in-law."
Gen Sha turns to leave.
Zi Lin: "Gen Sha..."
Gen Sha (with her back still to Zi Lin, she slightly turns her head): "I loved the 18-year old you. Right now, I can only love you as family member." 
Gen Sha leaves Zi Lin sitting on the bed, very upset and fustrated.

At the music/video shop.
Jing Jing: "Welcome!"
Zi Lin is walking around. Jing Jing leans against a rack of CDs, toying with her hands.
Zi Lin (arranging some CDs on the rack): "What?"
Jing Jing (smiling): "Tonight, do you need to come to my house to spend the night?"
Zi Lin (not looking at her): "No."
Jing Jing (pokes him on the shoulder): "You have a new girlfriend?"
Zi Lin: "I don't want to be beat up by another guy."
Jing Jing (strokes his bandaged wound): "That's fine. (tucks his arm at the wrist) From now on, it'll be jus the two of us counting on each others."
Zi Lin (pulls away and step farther down the aisle): "I don't have any interest in anyone."
Zi Lin walks to the other side of the rack. Jing Jing down her aisle and stands right in front of him.
Jing Jing: "You like Gen Sha. (Zi Lin avoids answering or looking at her) I know that all along, you've been intentionally pretending to be very intimate with me in front of her. (still no response from Zi Lin, who continues what he's doing) Ay... (leans over the rack a little) You aren't thinking of snatching her from your brother's side are you?"
Zi Lin (looks at her, smirks, and leans closer to her): "I'll consider you intelligent, but you only guessed half of it right."
Zi Lin continues to move down the racks. Jing Jing follows on her side of the racks.
Jing Jing: "Then...excluding a sexual relationship, we are still friends? I'm telling you, you guy's greatest 'hong fen zhi  ji'  are ex-girlfriends."
Zi Lin (looks up, smiling): "Thisis  exactly what I like about you."
Jing Jing (smiles back): "Lets cooperate."
Zi Lin: "We are already cooperating."
Jing Jing (leans her elbow on the rack): "I have a friend who is introducing  a CD-ROM business to me. Are you interested?"
Zi Lin strugs.
Jing Jing: "Its ok, you can give it some thought and then give me an answer."
Zi Lin stands there thinking for a little...then walks away.

Gen Sha and Zi Lian are standing, facing each other at their wedding reception, taking place outdoor. Gen Sha smiles and they kiss. Cameras flash and there are applauses and whistling for the happy, newly wed couple. Zi Lian hugs Gen Sha. Zi Lian hugs his mom, his dad, while Gen Sha hugs Mei Su, her mother-in-law, and father-in-law. Zi Lian takes Gen Sha's hands and walks through the crowd of guests, who are all congratulating them and applauding, towards the wedding cake. Their parents follow. Their mom hands Gen Sha the knife and Zi Lian and Gen Sha cut the cake.
Guest: "The bride is very beautiful!"
More guests clapping. Gen Sha and Zi Lian are smiling happily. 
Guest: "The bride is very beautiful!"
Gen Sha and Zi Lian hand the knife to their parents so that they can cut the cake as well. 
Guest: "The bride is very beautiful!"
Zi Lian and Gen Sha kisses each other lightly on the lips.
Guests (chants): "Kiss the bride...Kiss the bride...Kiss the bride...Kiss the bride...Kiss the bride..."
Mom is looking embarrassed and covers her mouth with her hands. Dad is looking a little mischievous. He kisses his wife on the cheeks and everyone cheers and continues to clap. Gen Sha turns around and tosses the bouquet. The female guests scream and try to catch it. Everyone claps and Gen Sha hugs Zi Lian.

Students are running around a track. Some are playing volleyball. Three students are sitting outside and chatting at a university or institute. 
Male Student: "This semester in Japanese class  I will definitely die/fail. I didn't hand in the homework that I copied."
Zi Lin is walking towards them, with his book bag on his back. He is walking slowly and looking around. 
Female Student 1: "I don't take Japanese class, I can't help you."
Female Student 2 (spots Zi Lin nudges her friend): "Ay...Zi Lin...What about Zi Lin? Zi Lin will definitely lend it to you."
Female Student 1: "Right, right! 
Female Student 2 (leans over a little): "Go and borrow it from him!"
Female Student 1: "Borrow it and see."
Male Student: "Why are you guys acting like this?"
Female Student 1: "Eh, I heard that before, when female classmates look for him and asks him out, he won't reject them. However, now, he rejects them. So, we're all  rumoring  that he must have changed his sexual preference."
Male Student: "Is that true?"
Female Student 2: "He's still trying to figure out whether he likes  your type."
Both female students (ushering him to get up) : "Go! Go!"
Female Student 2: "Ay! Zi Lin!"
Female Student 1: "Ah Wong has something to say to you."
Male Student: "Hi, eh...I want to borrow your Japanese notes. Can I?"
Zi Lin: "Oh, yeah, sure... (he looks in his bag)
Female Student 1: "Look! I told you he would definitely lend it to you."
Male Student: "You're annoying!"
Zi Lin looks at them a little surprised.
Zi Lin: "Why are so hot tempered?"
Male Student: "No...lately, these women are all rumoring about the things that have and haven't happened to you."
Zi Lin (confused): "What things?"
Male Student: "Its..."
Female Student 2: "Its...say it."
Female Student 1: "I've heard that you currently like men. Is that true?"
Female Student 2 is hanging onto her friend curiously.
Zi Lin (gives a small laugh): "You guys don't know?"
Female Student 2 (whispers to Female Student 1): "Know what?"
Zi Lin: "I'm going with Ah Wong."
Male Student (leans towards his friend, away from Zi Lin): "Why are you saying that?"
Zi Lin (smiles at him and puts his arms around his shoulders, pulling him next to him): "What's there to hide? We are really in love. (pats Ah Wong's head) I'll give you the notes tomorrow, (pulls his ear) ok? Bye."
Zi Lin starts to walk off.
Female Student 1 (with her face scrunched up, she watches Zi Lin): "Oh my god."
Female Student 2 runs to the other side of Ah Wong. 
Female Student 1: "Ay! The two of you, who expressed their feelings first?"
Zi Lin is walking away, face down and smirking. 
Female Student 2: "What stage are you guys up to?"
They females are still pestering Ah Wong. As Zi Lin continues to walk, his smirk fades and he starts to look up at the sky sadly and then stares aimlessly towards the ground in front of him. 

Gen Sha is by herself inside, leaning against a window, studying her hand, which now wears a wedding band. Music is playing softly. She turns and sees Zi Lian talking to some guests. She continues to toy with the ring, looking like a lot is on her mind. She looks out the window again and this time, Zi Lian sees her. He gives her a small smile and a small wave. She smiles back and turns aside. Her smile slowly fades and she starts to play with her ring again. Mei Su walks up to her. 
Mei Su (lightly taps Gen Sha's shoulder, smiling): "Gen Sha (Gen Sha turns around and smiles) Congratulations."
Gen Sha (smiling, the hold hands): "Thank you. You don't know how happy I feel for you. You're decision is as it should be. You need to value your own happiness. (Gen Sha smiles and nods) The past...don't think about it anymore."
Gen Sha's smile fades as she recalls when Zi Lin's voice, "Give me another chance, won't you? Gen Sha..."
Mei Su (looking a little concerned): "Gen Sha, do you need to eat a little something?"
Gen Sha: "No, you go ahead outside to eat."
Mei Su:"Alright, then I'll get you something to drink."
Gen Sha: "Ok."
Mei Su leaves. Gen Sha leans her head against the window pane again, turning her head so she can see outside. Zi Lian is smiling happily and talking to the guests. He notices Gen Sha.
Zi Lian (to the guests he was talking to): "Alright, I'm going."

Mom tells some guest who just picked up some wine to make sure they eat more and waves good bye to them. Dad takes out a cellphone to call Zi Lin, who still hasn't arrived. 
Dad:"No one picking up again. Ay, Zi Lin, this child, what's going on with him? Everyone is asking me where he is."
Mom: "He said he has a very important exam to take."
Dad:"Exam? When has this guy ever put so much effort into things? And anyhow, exams are important but we're not  important?"
Mom: "Why you can't let him take his exams?"
Dad (sighs): "The last time we got married, he didn't take part."
Mom: "Could he have come to take part?"
Dad (laughs): "Just joking! This time, we're giving him a chance but he's not coming to take part, its such a shame."
Mom: "A shame for what?"
Dad:"A shame...that he can't see his beautiful, elegant, glamorous, mom."
He lightly taps her chin and she smacks his hand away. He starts to chuckle. 
Mom: "We're already so old, can't you be more serious?"
Dad takes his cell phone and tries again.
Mom: "Forget it...if he won't come, forcing him is useless."
Dad:"No one picking up again!"
Mom waves to someone and dad hangs up. He starts to walk off. Mom puts a finger to her lip, looking concerned.

Mei Su is helping herself to something to eat. Zi Lian steps in.
Mei Su:"Hey, Zi Lian."
Zi Lian: "Ay, Mei Su."
Mei Su:"I handing my best friend  to you. You must cherish her."
Zi Lian (smiles and starts filling his plate): "I definitely will."
Mei Su:"Ay, right, when you guys registered in Japan, did you  go on a honeymoon?"
Zi Lian (still putting food on his plate): "No...during that time, my company was too busy. A honeymoon wasn't apart of the plans. Ay, where did you guys go for a honeymoon?"
Mei Su:"Us? We went to Japan."
Zi Lian (mouthes "Japan", thinking): "First time?" 
Mei Su (shakes her head): "It was the second time. The first time, I went with Gen Sha. Amd  it was during this time (she smiles happily) that I met my husband."
Zi Lian: "Reliving memories...its very meaningful. Ay, during that time, weren't you dating and in love with your husband? (Mei Su nods) Then  wasn't Gen Sha lonely."
Mei Su (disconcerted): "Eh...yeah...(wrinkles up her face, looking worried)...no....its...we went out  together to have fun."
Zi Lian: "You don't have to be so flustered. I was only asking and joking around. I'm going to bring Gen Sha something to eat first. Make yourself comfortable."
Zi Lian leaves. Mei Su looks after him, a little nervous and steps outside. 

Gen Sha is sitting in a chair, not looking as happy as she should be. Zi Lian walks up to her and smoothes her hair with his free hand. 
Zi Lian: "Tired?"
Gen Sha: "I'm still ok."
Zi Lian (starts walking around the little table to the chair besides Gen Sha): "You haven't eaten anything this whole day. (he sits down and places the plate of good on the table) Eat a little. (holds her hand) What if you faint again?"
Gen Sha (sits up straight): "Ok."
Zi Lian hand her the fork. Gen Sha starts to eat and Zi Lian stares at her. Gen Sha feels his eyes on her and smiles, looking at the table.
Gen Sha: "What are you looking at?"
Zi Lian: "I've discovered something."
Gen Sha: "What?"
Zi Lian: "Watching you eat, is a type of happiness."
Gen Sha smiles widely. 
Zi Lian (pointing at her, smiling): "Also...seeing you smiles is another type of happiness."
Gen Sha (smiling happily, putting a hand on his shoulder): "Are you drunk? Hmm?"|
Zi Lian leans closer to Gen Sha.
Zi Lian: "Thank you for marrying me."
Gen Sha smiles, closes her eyes, and leans her forehead against her husband's. There are voices outside.
Zi Lian: "The guests are leaving. Let's go out to see them off."
Gen Sha nods and hand-in-hand, they get up to go outside.

Zi Lin is slowly walking down an aisle in the shop where he works, holding a bunch of discs and  looking depressed. He pauses at the end of the aisle and stares at nothing in particular pointlessly for a while. Then, the lights are dim and he is sitting on the floor, leaning against the racks. Jing Jing slowly walks towards him. She kneels down next to him.
Jing Jing: "Last time, I told you about the CD-ROM thing, have you come to a conclusion?"
Zi Lin: "I can't think of a any reason to reject it anyway."
Jing Jing (clings to his arm): "That's great! Come to my place to celebrate it later."
Zi Lin: "Go find a better guy."
Jing Jing (unwraps her hands from his arm): "Thank you. I'm not the type of "easy come easy go" girl that you think I am."
Zi Lin: "Don't talk anymore about this, ok?"
Jing Jing (thinking of something to talk about): "Ay! Isn't brother getting married today? Why didn't you go?"
Zi Lin: "They won't miss me anyway."
Jing Jing (smiles): "Ohhhhh! (points at him mischievously) You're afraid... 
Zi Lin (getting a little irritated): "Why do you have so much useless things to say about today?"
Jing Jing: "I really want to see how  guys with your type of  personality will change later on in the future."

Zi Lin is standing at a train station. A train is passing by behind. God knows what he's looking at and how long he'll be there.

At home, Dad is still celebrating and drinking. The two couples are still dressed up. 
Dad (drunken voice): "Marrying...feels...like after we're married, we'll be troubled again. "
Mom: "Don't drink anymore. You've drunk enough today. Here, drink this cup of tea."
Dad:" I'm telling you, today...normally, I can still listen to you. Today, I don't want to drink tea. I want to drink beer."
Dad starts laughing like a maniac and asking the young newly wed couple something.
Mom: "Don't ask them anymore. They young couple's mouths have been tired all this whole day. Let the children rest. "
Dad: "Them....well...what about me? I'm tired too!"
Gen Sha whispers to Zi Lian.
Dad: "AY! Zi Lin has come! Look! You little fellow, exactly where did you go?"
Zi Lian (gets up and pats his brother on the arm): "You really aren't supportive enough. You didn't come to dad's and my wedding. Huh?"
Zi Lin: "Dad, mom, I wish you a happy new marriage."
Dad: "No matter what, first give your older brother a toast."
Zi Lian reached for a Heinekens on the coffee table.
Zi Lian: "First give dad and mom a toast. That's more appropriate."
Zi Lian hands the beer to his brother.
Zi Lin (raising the bottle up): "Dad, mom, I wish you a happy new marriage."
He takes a drink and dad happily laughs and puts the his bottle to his mouth. Mom raises the cup of tea she had in her hand that dad refused to drink and smiles. Zi Lian smiles and pats his little brother on the shoulder.
Zi Lin: "Sister-in-law, I'll first toast to you."
Gen Sha remains on the floor. Zi Lian hurries to her.
Zi Lian: "Your sister-in-law can't drink. (picks up a bottle of beer and helps Gen Sha up) I'll drink in place of her. Come on."
They hit their bottles together, Zi Lin forcing a smile,  and both take a long drink.
Zi Lin: "Brother, you are so thoughtful. No wonder you can marry sister-in-law. Brother, I wholeheartedly wish you a happy new marriage."
Zi Lian: "Marrying Gen Sha, is the happiest thing in my life. That's why this toast you proposed, I have to drink."
Zi Lian takes a drink and Zi Lin follows suit. There seems to be some tension between them. 
Mom (gets up off the couch): "Its already so late. The one who had to work among us must also be very tired. Lian, the two of you should head back." 
Zi Lian puts down his bottle on the coffee table. Dad has already gotten up and puts his bottle on the end table. 
Zi Lian (hugs his mother): "Congratulations mom."
Mom: "Congratulations to you."
Zi Lin: "Dad, mom, brother, sister-in-law, I'm very sorry that I couldn't attend your party today. Congratulations."
Zi Lin doesn't look like he really means what he says and turns around to leave.
Mom: "This child, he's like that. Don't blame him you guys."
Dad:"Don't mind him."
Mom: "Head back."
Zi Lian: "Then we're going back. Good night..."
They wave good bye and Zi Lian and Gen Sha leave, hand in hand.
Dad:"Good night, good night..."
They wave good bye and Zi Lian and Gen Sha leave, hand in hand.
Dad (arms on Mom's shoulders): "Lets so send them off."

Zi Lin shuts the door to his room and falls lifelessly onto his bed, face down with his arms stretched straight out by his side. He starts to tightly grip his comforter. He turns around with an expression of hurt on his face, resting his head on one of his pillows with his arm over his head. Outside, a car is pulling away (Gen Sha and Zi Lian). Zi Lin listens to the sound fade away.
Zi Lin (thinking to himself): "I know nothing can save me. Why can't it be someone else? Why does it have to be the brother I respect and love the most? (He closes his eyes and swallows hard.) I will I control my temper and mood later in the future? (he opens his redden and wet eyes and stares at his ceiling.) How will I hide the love I have for Gen Sha? (He pulls the pillow over his face and cries) 

Zi Lian is trying to fix the television at his house.
Gen Sha (from another room): "Ay! What are you doing?"
Zi Lian: "Repairing the television. Otherwise, we'll have nothing to watch for the whole day."
Gen Sha walks in with a plate of food and feeds Zi Lian some. Gen Sha sits on the couch and watches him, smiling as he goes back to working on the tv. He looks up at her and they both stare at each other.
Zi Lian: "What are you looking at?"
Gen Sha just continues to smile innocently and shakes her head. Zi Lian gives a small laugh and goes back to work.
Gen Sha (picks up what looks like a cookie or biscuit and takes a bite): "I have something to tell you."
Zi Lian: "What?"
Gen Sha: "I found a new job."
Zi Lian (looks up): "So fast? What kind of job"
Gen Sha: "It was my college friend who referred my to the Japanese Center to help them plan their course lessons."
Zi Lian: "Isn't that very  tiring? You just returned to Taiwan. Rest a little."
Gen Sha: "No need. It should be fun."
Gen Sha eats another cookie.
Zi Lian: "You like it?"
Gen Sha nods.
Zi Lian (smiles): "Well, if you like it, then go on. Alright! All fixed!"
Zi Lian moves the television back into place. 
Zi Lian (happily jumps to the couch with the remote control): "Watch tv! Watch tv"
He sits by Gen Sha and pushes the control but nothing happens. He tries again. Gen Sha nudges him.
Zi Lian (whines in fustration): "AIYAAAAAA...."
Gen Sha (pushes his head down): "Why are you so dumb?"
Zi Lian (still whining): "I've repaired it for a whole day and we can't see anything."
Gen Sha hugs him and he leans helplessly on her arm and then on her lap.
Zi Lian: "Better find someone to come repair it."

Its the morning now and Zi Lian is in the kitchen, preparing breakfast. Gen Sha rushes to the kitchen.
Zi Lian: "Ay."
Gen Sha: "Ahh...you're making breakfast."
They quickly kiss. 
Zi Lian: "Almost...Almost done."
Gen Sha (sounding anxious): "Its the first day of work and I'm such a mess."
Zi Lian: "Don't be nervous."
Gen Sha (laughs): "Very nervous."
Gen Sha straightens out her shirt.
Zi Lian: "Do you want to drink some fruit juice?"
Gen Sha: "From now on, I can't be like I was before. How will I take care of you?"
Zi Lian (takes her hands): "Come. Do you know that you are the one in this world, the only one who can bring my happiness. So, if you feel happy about it, then go and do it. I will fully support you and I feel that you will definitely be able to do it. Alright, (hands Gen Sha a glass of juice) drink some fruit juice. I'll make toast for you."
The toast it ready and Zi Lian picks it up, nearly dropping it because it's hot.
Zi Lian (putting it on a plate): "Whoo!"
Gen Sha (Gen Sha leans over him to see): "You can make it?"
Zi Lian (small laugh): "Is it ok?"
Gen Sha: "That looks kind of ok. (Zi Lian is adding more stuff to the toast) I don't need to eat that much. (adds more yet) Ok! That's enough, that's enough...hurry up, go out."
Zi Lian (turns to Gen Sha, looking at his watch): "Ay, right..."
Zi Lian drops the toast and Gen Sha screams. Zi Lian jumps up and down and slaps his thighs.
Zi Lian (turns back towards the counter, Gen Sha starts laughing): "Sorry! Sorry. (he picks up the toast from the floor) What now?"
Zi Lian puts it on the counter and kisses Gen Sha. 
Zi Lian (starts to leave the kitchen): "Ok, jia you!"
