Ling (portrayed by Vic Chou) 21 years old, 2nd year in college That huge monster seizes a long lance going against the speedy light since then to the present. He finally sees his mean and ferocious personality. This is actually his original self.

Ling wasn't lonely in the beginning. He had a younger twin brother Sheng. This originally considered complete twins is however a type of bisected regret. That isn't our coming and going loneliness in life. It's a regret that we aren't capable of comprehending. Having the same appearance of another soul, just like a mirror's reflection yet not completely, seems to repeatedly remind them that they are living with what the other lacks, an unruly and excitement lover, an effeminate and obedient. Sheng always admired Ling's display of impulsive rudeness and unreasonableness on the racing track. Ling never understands the real meaning of all the sketches Sheng does of him. However, when Ling was 16 years old, the meek Sheng chose to personally end his short life. From that point on Ling sunk into a painful abyss. He stayed at a sanatorium for 2 years and never looked into a mirror again. He forgot his appearance. Perhaps it's because of this type of forgetting that made him able to forget Sheng, letting all the relicts that followed be less cold. After this incident ended, Ling, who wanted to break away from his family, entered college with equal curriculum vitae, unfolding a new life. Actually, this isn't the beginning of Ling's new life, but his effort to make his former self die away gradually. Therefore, on campus Ling becomes the student that gives all the teachers headaches. He's also a womenizer, making the male students jealous of him. Because of he's the war god, Mars, cruel disaster source, as long as you get near him blood will spread about. This kind of deformed self acknowledgement tormented Ling. His friend Ming Gao's confindence in him is the only strength that he didn't lose control of. Therefore, the moment Ming Gao handed over the key to his motorcycle to Ling after losing his leg, he seemed to again live a bit. And when Ling unexpectedly discovered Qi Luo, he finally woke up from his coma. It's unknown why Ling acted as Qi Luo's bodyguard. Maybe this was an extension to his love for Sheng, but not entirely. He found a type of tranquility in Qi Luo that made him alongshore, especially when Qi Luo, who loves to draw, told him about the features of the Roman's Mar's bravery. Ling was stupefied...after that afternoon Ling stared at the statue of Mars in art classroom. He couldn't help it and kissed it. Qi Luo found another truth for Ling...it wasn't just the absurd mistakes in Greek and Roman versions of a myth...but love. It will bring us towards a bright future. Ling didn't dream this dream again.

Sheng (portrayed by Vic Chou) Ling's young twin brother, commited suicide when he was 16 years old Maybe only death can make me remain in Ling's heart forever...

After losing his mother, Ling was his only reliance. In his life besides drawing, it was only Ling. Not even Sha Zhi who he had loved before compared to Ling. Although his personality is diametrically opposite from Ling's, but Sheng is clearly aware that Ling belongs to him entirely. He doesn't know why, but whenever he sees Ling's violent and bloody side, Sheng would feel secure and satisfied. Perhaps it's because this complete darkness, complete force, was what Sheng wanted to be able to do all along. Sheng is actually only a victim. The only thing their mother left them was actually a ruined path. "Ling, we look exactly the same on the outside, but our characters are totally different, like the sun and the moon. How I wish I could be as brave as you one day..." Those were Sheng's last words before jumping off a building... In the end Sheng still wasn't brave enough. But from the beginning to the end he believed that one day Ling will do the same...

Qi Luo (portrayed by Barbie Hsu) 20 years old, 2nd year in college Athena, living in Ba Se Nong Palace with wisdom and reasonableness, just waiting quietly for darkness to withdraw.

Qi Luo is tranquil and delicate. Inside her heart lives a tremendous strength. She vaguely understands how to truely withstand hardships, only having an unfearing soul. Therefore, even though she's young, she carries a hard to cure wound. She uses her pencil to deliver her heart's most mellow and pure voice. Qi Luo was abused by her stepfather when she was 13 years old. After that incident she didn't easily believe people again, especially men. Although after her mother found out the truth and separated from her stepfather, but those unseen wounds are very hard to cure. Therefore Qi Luo is always inner-directed, has no friends, and doesn't speak to any guys because she's can't recognize true and false benevolence. She would rather make her life only consist of her weak mother, painting, drawing, and nightmares. Qi Luo is very beautiful, pale and sullen. And the chaotic world always challenges her seemingly cannot-bear-a-hit outer appearance. Her stepfather is this way, teachers and her classmates are also like this. The more Qi Luo covers up the more it arouses their malicious intentions. But it's all good, after attending college, everyone is busy dealing with the exuberant university student life. No one will notice her. Instead, Qi Luo takes pleasure in her incommunicative and art world. Qi Luo doesn't understand why someone like her who is low-key and always neglected by others would, out of all the people in the school, catch the attention of worse student...Ling. What's even more unexpected is that ever since Ling appeared, Qi Luo gradually is conscious of her vicious loathsome under her solemnity. This is the first time Qi Luo ever believed in someone so much. Maybe it’s because after Ling kisses Mars that afternoon. That kiss made her notice an extraordinary beauty, so dazzling, gloriously sincere. She accepts Ling as a result and decides to fight Ling’s darkness. Qi Luo has always thought that loneliness is the power from achievement. But Ling makes her understand that real strength join hands with true love to take on difficulties. For this reason, those that are jealous, stumble, treacherous, are defeated one by one and not satisfied. It’s like Qing Mei and Sha Zhi loving Ling and Da Ye loving Qi Luo…however the hardest to overcome is their own nightmares. If you say Qi Luo rescues the falling Ling from darkness. Then for Ling, Qi Luo is a source of happiness. When they gaze at each other there’s no more incompleteness but excavating their true nature. "Good” and "evil” is actually not revealed to others using original appearances. When we start to shut our eyes, that’s when peace gradually arises in our hearts.

Tong Dao (portrayed by An Jun Can) 19 years old, 1st year in college, admires Ling Only Ling deserves to be my friend because we both love the dark…

Tong Dao is only 19 years old but his knowledge is greater than ordinary people. Because of his extremely effeminate appearance, Tong Dao has been the target of bullies ever since young. But after getting humiliated and tormented time after time, it provoked the darkness deep inside his heart. He could only take every unhappy and happy thing and crush them entirely in order to appease his fears… When everyone was deceived by Tong Dao’s good student image, only Ling sensed Tong Dao’s innermost soul that shares an enormous hatefulness… Tong Dao reminds Ling continuously not to be afraid to approach him, just like not being afraid of his cruelty inside his heart, of his bloody self. "You haven’t discovered it? Every time "she” comes…your body is so relaxed, that’s the real you! Look how you are pretending right now. I never thought that love would make you become so weak and hateful…” Tong Dao slowly pushes Ling towards the dimmest corner. Sha Zhi (portrayed by Xiao Xiao) Ling’s first love, 21 years old It’s said that the beautiful god Venus in Greek mythology can cheat all gods and mortals. In order to prove her charm, she doesn’t hesitate to stir up a century conflict.

Sha Zhi is an only child, her parents’ only protection ever since young. And her student career isn’t only good both in character and at studies, but she also understands how to use a beautiful smile to win favoritism from teachers. With a perfect condition inside and outside, she firmly believes that everything is unquestionable because she’s the center of the world…including Ling. She chose Ling from the beginning and Ling was still unruly and uncontrolled. But it just so happens that Sha Zhi loves to control, capture and own. But it’s ok since Ling has a substitute…Sheng. Sheng is calm and tender and was captured by Sha Zhi’s glittering smile quickly. Sha Zhi however wasn’t satisfied because even though Sheng and Ling look exactly the same, Sheng couldn’t replace Ling’s challenging desire. That’s how entangled Sha Zhi is between Sheng and Ling. Engaged in jealousy, manipulating love, eventually agitates this pair of close brothers’ battle fire. It also leads to the tragedy of burning one’s fingers because of playing with fire…even if Ling loves Sha Zhi again, she still can’t be regarded in the same category as Sheng. Sha Zhi takes out her anger on Sheng. After she uttered cruel words to Sheng, Sheng chose to commit suicide to end his life. Henceforth Sha Zhi was destined to lose Ling, who blamed himself. It wasn’t until that moment did Sha Zhi realized that the universe didn’t spin because of her. But she wasn’t pleased. She believed that she would be able to have Ling. Xiang Zi (portrayed by Ben Duo RURU) Professional female racer, Ming Gao’s dream and love companion, 26 years old For the purpose of love, consecrate own glory.

Being able to find inclined lover is the dream of many people. Xiang Zi and Ming Gao met and fell in love each other on the racetrack. From the start Xiang Zi rejoiced for herself in high spirits. But repeatedly passes by chillers and tragedies on the racetrack. Xiang Zi doesn’t get nervous because of the fear of losing devotion. But she knows that she can’t expropriate Ming Gao. Da Ye was Qi Luo’s only friend in the school before Ling appeared. But because Qi Luo doesn’t interact with others, Da Ye never dared to confess to her. He only gave her his blessings silently from afar. At certain times Da Ye envies Ling. Ling ruled love by force and Da Ye never dared to do so. Da Ye knows that even without Ling’s appearance, he wouldn’t have the courage to break Qi Luo’s unsentimental wall. He could only wait quietly, wait for the needs of Qi Luo, wait for Qi Luo’s call, waiting to lend Qi Luo his shoulders when she cried. Da Ye really wishes to see Qi Luo’s smiling face again, even though this is something from a very long time ago… Da Ye is a runner of the school. He looks moderate but always gets first place. She thought that Ling won’t love anyone. But as long as she can be with Ling, she can bear anything. No love? What does that have to do with it? There is no one who wants Ling more that she does. That’s what Qing Mei has always believed. Until one day when Qing Mei saw Qi Luo determination to proceed without hesitation, "If you break my hand, does that mean you will let me like Ling?” She was then aware that her love for Ling couldn’t compare to this meek petite girl in front of her… The stubborn Qing Mei still wanted to try for one last time.
