Dao Ming Si Pian Part 1

It starts out with the scene in Meteor Garden when San Cai is kidnapped.
San Cai (who is ties up to a chair): "Everything you said, what does it have to do with Dao Ming Si?"
Xiao Shun: "You've asked the main point. He was such a good person but he made a small mistake at Ying De University and offended Dao Ming Si. He was beaten up so badly by this violent jerk. So from that day on, I decided to get revenge for him. One day, I would definitely find Dao Ming Si and get back at him."
Dao Ming Si (with blood running done his face): "You guys are pieces of trash. Hitting me like this, is no use at all. Do you have something even more impressive?"
Xiao Shun gets made and the guys start beating Dao Ming Si up again. 
San Cai (crying): "Stop! Don't hit him! Don't hit him!"
Then it skips a few scenes and it goes to the scene after San Cai ran in front of Dao Ming Si to protect him from the chair that the guy was going to throw at Dao Ming Si. Dao Ming Si passes out.
San Cai: "Dao Ming Si! Dao Ming Si! Dao Ming Si, don't die. I'm not going to let you die! Dao Ming Si!"

It then flashed back to when Dao Ming Si beat up a guy until he was half dead. Dao Ming Si is fighting with a bunch of people at a pub and two guys manage to grab a hold of Dao Ming Si while another guy starts to punch him. Then a guy took a glass bottle and hits Dao Ming Si with it. He suddenly explodes with anger and beats up a guy until he is almost dead. There are about 10 police cars that arrived. 

Xi Men, Mei Zuo and Lei are at a Budweiser pub. Xi Men flirting with a girl, while Lei is playing with his handphone. Suddenly, the news about Dao Ming Si beating up a guy appears on the television. F3 stands to watch and then Dao Ming Si enters the pub at this moment. The guy's father insists on sueing Dao Ming Si. Dao Ming Si is in an extremely bad mood. 
Dao Ming Si: "I'm sorry I'm late."
He sits down and they are silent for while. A guy walks by and accidentally bumps into Dao Ming Si. Dao Ming Si gets up to chase after him, but F3 holds him back.
Mei Zuo: "You really got into a bad fight, I think they want you in jail."
Dao Ming Si: "Doesn't matter. When have you seen my scared?."
Xi Men:"Ah Si, don't drink anymore. You should go home first. I suggest you get someone to keep this under wraps. We're entering Ying De this year. Don't get into any more trouble."
Mei Zuo: "I think that's for sure, your mother knows your past troubles and she helped you."
Dao Ming Si: "Did I ask for your opinion?"
Lei: "Ah Si, listen to us. Just go back first. Although your mother is not in Taiwan, but I'm sure she'll have a way to solve this problem. At that time if you really can't solve the problem, you can find us."
The F3 forces Dao Ming Si to go home.
A bunch of reporters are gathered outside the Dao Ming Si's house, asking the housekeeper many questions and the housekeeper is trying hard to keep them away.
Housekeeper: "There's nothing I can say. Please leave, I don't know anything, please leave."
Dao Ming Si watches from afar. He calls Xi Men.
Dao Ming Si: "Hello, Xi Men... it's me... Dao Ming Si.
Xi Men:"I was just going to call you. The cops have been to my home. Looking at the situation, I'm sure Mei Zuo and Lei are being targeted too. They suspect the 4 of us went into the fight together. How's the situation there? You okay?"
Dao Ming Si: "I'm okay. Call you another time. Bye."
Dao Ming Si hangs up and walks away.

The housekeeper is trying hard to maintain order in the house. At that moment, he receives a call from Dao Ming Si. He rushes off to look for Dao Ming Si after that. Dao Ming Si is sitting in a pub. The housekeepers goes to the pub to find him with a few bodyguards. 
Housekeeper: "Master, please go home with me."
Dao Ming Si: "How can I go home with so many reporters outside the house?"
Housekeeper: "Master, let me report to you, don't worry, Madam has passed down the orders."
Dao Ming Si: "My mom? She's back?"
Housekeeper: "Errr.. Master... Madam is busy is New York, I don't think she can make it back."
Dao Ming Si: "So what your trying to say is she won't be coming back."
Housekepper: "Master, Madam is really really busy, she really can't find the time to come back."
Dao Ming Si: "Busy?! Do you know... my birthday is in a few days. I bet she's forgotten about it. She promised me she'll be back."
Housekeeper (looking helplessly): " Master..."
Dao Ming Si (getting mad): "Every year I spend my birthday either with you pig heads or alone. This year I can spend it in jail. That's quite new. Perhaps I could make some better friends."
Housekeeper: "No, you won't spend you birthday in jail because the media blew up the matter. So as long as you confess, Madam says the matter will be settled. She says it is a small matter." 
Dao Ming Si: "Small matter? Her son beating someone to death is a small matter? Then tell me what is a big matter? Is everything else a big matter, but it is just anything to do with me is a small matter?"
Housekeeper: "Master, listen to me..."
Dao Ming Si: "You shut up! She thinks money can solve everything? Anyway she doesn't care about my existence, I might as well disappear."
Housekeeper: "Master, you...If you disappear the matter will get worse!"
Dao Ming Si: "I won't let her resolve this matter with money!"
Housekeeper: "Master...master!"
Dao Ming Si storms off and is held back by the house's bodyguards, Dao Ming Si beats them up and runs off. The bodyguards chase, but hey lose him at the train station when Dao Ming Si hops onto the train.

Dao Ming Si sits on the train alone and recalls back hitting the guy until he was almost dead. He realizes he has lost his cell phone and he has no idea how to contact the rest. At that moment, the train conductors board the train and Dao Ming Si runs away when they come. The train conductors chase him but he has jumped off the train.

Dao Ming Si is wounded as a result of jumping off the train. He has a big cut on his knee. He limps around in pain, not knowing where he is. Soon, he blacked out on the beach.

A little girl, Xin Xin is sewing a piece of cloth until she is called to have dinner. She runs out and sees Dao Ming Si lying on the ground.

Dao Ming Si stirs around on a bed with Xin Xin standing next to him, watching him. Xin Xin's father, Ah-Yuan appears and touches Dao Ming Si's forehead.
Ah-Yuan: "Don't worry. Daddy has bandaged his wound. If his fever still doesn't go away tomorrow, we will send him to hospital, ok?"
Xin Xin knods.
Ah-Yuan: "Come, go and bath."
Xin Xin takes another look at Dao Ming Si and walks off. Suddenly, Dao Ming Si starts mumbling, startling Xin Xin.
Dao Ming Si: "Mom... When are you coming back..."
Xin Xin walks back to Dao Ming Si and strokes his arm.
Dao Ming Si: "I feel terrible..."
Xin Xin puts her arms around Dao Ming Si who has started crying. (such a sad and touching scene)

Dao Ming Si wakes up in an old wooden hut. He sees Xin Xin sitting there, drawing. Ah-Yuan enters and tells him that they saved him.
Ah-Yuan: "It's Xin Xin who found you at the beach, you were bleeding badly. (Xin Xin turns around and smiles at Dao Ming Si) I brought you back here and then helped you bandage your wound. I bet you didn't know you were unconscious for 2 days and had a fever too."
Dao Ming Si tries to get up. Xin Xin walks towards Dao Ming Si and they both stare at each other.
Ah-Yuan: "I know you want to leave. This place is so isolated. You can't go far in this state. You haven't eaten for 2 days, even if you're going to leave have breakfast with us first and then leave. Xin Xin sit down and eat."
They sit together and have breakfast. Dao Ming Si stares at the food on the table (since he has never eaten are probably never even seen these foods before).
Dao Ming Si (looking at the tofu): "What is that? It looks like tofu gone bad."
Ah-Yuan: "Your telling me you never at this before? (He explains it or something...sorry don't know how to translate) Eat."
Dao Ming Si takes a bite.
Ah-Yuan: "So how did you end up unconscious on the beach? (Dao Ming Si ignores him and continues to eat) It's alright if you don't want to talk about it. But you were unconscious for 2 days, do you want me to inform your family?"
Dao Ming Si: "I have no family."
Ah-Yuan: "I'm going to work. She will stay at home..."
Dao Ming Si (interrupting): "I'm leaving after eating."
Xin Xin looks up when he says that and keeps shaking her head and pulling Dao Ming Si. 
Ah-Yuan: "Xin Xin, you can't cannot have manners."
She continues to shake her head and pulling Dao Ming Si's shirt.
Ah-Yuan: "What are you trying to say?
She takes her chalkboard and writes something on it.
Ah-Yuan: " I think you better stay here and rest. She will take care of you. Oh yeah, my name is Ah-Yuan, she's my daughter Xin Xin."
Dao Ming Si: "Is she dumb?"
Ah-Yuan: "She's not dumb! She just refuses to talk. "
Dao Ming Si: "Why does she refuse to talk?"
Ah-Yuan: "She originally would talk... I really have to go to work. Xin Xin will stay here and look after you."
Dao Ming Si: "Why are you letting me stay here?"
Ah-Yuan: "Don't think that just because my house doesn't have four walls I'm afraid to keep you. What am I afraid of? You stay with Xin Xin, she's a lonely girl. Xin Xin, daddy has to go to work now, be good. Don't go out to the beach by yourself. (Sorry, I'm not sure I translated this part correctly)
Xin Xin goes out to say bye to her dad and Ah-Yuan leaves for work. She runs back to Dao Ming Si and smiles at him, making him feel uncomfortable. On the way to work Ah-Yuan tells himself that there shouldn't be a problem back at his home. He looks back and then continues walking.

Ah-Yuan is working at a wood factory cutting wood. Its lunch time and while he is eating he thinks: "Xin Xin usually doesn't like strangers, with the exception of Ah Si. This young man is different from other teenagers." Then he sees some left over wood on the ground and decides to build a crutch for Dao Ming Si.  Meanwhile, Dao Ming Si and Xin Xin are alone, Xin Xin is wiping the table. He gets up and looks at the ocean. Xin Xin writes something on her chalkboard and starting pulling on his shirt and showed him her chalkboard.
Dao Ming Si: "Retard."
She tilts her head and smiles at him.
Dao Ming Si: "What are you? Retarded? Smiling like that."
He starts to leave, but she pulls on to him, still smiling.
Dao Ming Si: "I need to go for a walk."
Xin Xin holds up her index finger to tell him to wait a minute and runs off. He limps to the beach and then awhile later Xin Xin runs along with her chalkboard on top of her head and then sets it down and draws, while Dao Ming Si sits on a bench.
Dao Ming Si (thinking): "Two days ago I was with Mei Zuo and Lei all together drinking, now it's only me alongside the beach. And also a little girl that doesn't talk. That person.. Did I really beat him to death?"
Xin Xin turns around and smiles at Dao Ming Si.

Ah-Yuan is at work and receives his paycheck. He returns home after work. 
Ah-Yuan: "Xin Xin! Look at what this is? A birthday cake. (Xin Xin hugs him) Today is Xin Xin's birthday no? Ok, go wash up and then we'll cut the cake. (to Dao Ming Si) A child always looks forward to her birthday. You're here in time. We can spend Xin Xin's birthday together."
Dao Ming Si (getting up): "What's today's date?"
Ah-Yuan: "Today is the end of the month.. 31st."
Dao Ming Si (thinking): "She has the same birthday as me..."
Ah-Yuan then gives Dao Ming Si the crutch that he made at the factory.
Ah-Yuan: "Hey, you've been here for 2 days, do you want to bath? Our bathroom might be a bit shabby, but it'll do."
Dao Ming Si: "No need to."

At night, the 3 of them sit together to celebrate Xin Xin's birthday.
Ah-Yuan:" Xin Xin we must sing a birthday song before we cut the cake. Sing with daddy?"
Xin Xin shakes her head and points to Dao Ming Si. 
Dao Ming Si: "I'm not going to sing..."
Ah-Yuan: "I know that you don't want to sing, Daddy will sing. Happy Birthday to you, Happy Birthday to you, Happy birthday to Xin Xin, Happy birthday to you! Before you blow the candle, you must make a birthday wish. Come, say out your wish."
Xin Xin points to her heart.
Dao Ming Si: "What does that mean?"
Ah-Yuan: "She says, just keep it in her heart. Come, blow out the candles. (They blow out the candles) Yay."
Xin Xin offers Dao Ming Si a piece of cake.
Dao Ming Si: "I don't want it. I don't eat birthday cakes."
Xin Xin continues to shake him to try and get him to eat it. 
Dao Ming Si (annoyed, taking his arm away from her): "I said I'm not eating it."
Xin Xin throws the cake at him. 
Dao Ming Si (with cake all over his face): "What's the matter with you!?"
Ah-Yuan (immediately getting up and helps Dao Ming Si wipe off the cake): "Xin Xin what are you doing? (to Dao Ming Si) I'm really sorry... (tp Xin Xin) How can you be like this! (to Dao Ming Si) I'm realy really sorry. Little children don't know anything."
Xin Xin looks at Dao Ming Si and bursts out laughing. Dao Ming Si is affected and laughs too. Xin Xin offers him another slice of cake.
Dao Ming Si: "Hey...not again."
She take a fork and hands the cake to Dao Ming Si.
Ah-Yuan: "Eat it, it's really good."
Dao Ming Si finally takes it and eats it and Xin Xin smiles. Ah-Yuan walks back to his seat and cuts a slice for Xin Xin.
Dao Ming Si (smiles and thinks to himself:) "Xin Xin, wish you a happy birthday. Will you wish me happy birthday too?"
Ah-Yuan: "Do you really plan on not taking a shower?"
Dao Ming Si looks up and then we see him going to the shower, on his crutches. He looks into the bathroom, which is really crappy and dirty.

After Xin Xin has gone to sleep, Ah-Yuan sits on the beach. After awhile, Dao Ming Si goes to the beach too, (he changed his clothes), and chats with Ah-Yuan.
Ah-Yuan: "Hey, sit. (hands him a drink)  It's quiet here at night."
Dao Ming Si: "It really is quiet. It's like I only hear the sound of the waves."
Ah-Yuan: "Xin Xin doesn't talk, so I don't have much to say too. It's extremely rare I have someone to sit here to talk to me."
Dao Ming Si: "You live a simple life."
Ah-Yuan: "To the people of your age, you must find this place boring, but such a peaceful life to me is an enjoyment. Early, when Xin Xin threw the cake at your face, sorry about that. 
Dao Ming Si: "That's ok, she's only a child."
Ah-Yuan: "Because she is a bit autistic so the way she expresses her feelings is sometimes different from other children."
Dao Ming Si: "Why doesn't Xin Xin talk?"
Ah-Yuan: "Xin Xin would talk, but she just stopped talking one day."
Dao Ming Si: "What do you mean?"

It's morning and Dao Ming Si stands by the beach.  Awhile later Xin Xin comes running and takes Dao Ming Si' s crutch when she runs pass and Ah-Yuan walks up to Dao Ming Si. Xin Xin is at her little hide-out place, where she was in the beginning of the story, decorating a face mask. Dao Ming Si and Ah-Yuan are chatting by the beach. The two of them play with Xin Xin at the beach and they all were having fun. Later, Xin Xin gives Dao Ming Si some yellow flowers and then runs away shyly. It's nighttime and Xin Xin is sleeping on Dao Ming Si's shoulders, while Dao Ming Si is also sleeping. Dao Ming Si stands in the shower...after awhile, he closes the door.

The next day, before Ah-Yuan left for work, Xin Xin tuns up to him and gives him a face mask. Ah-Yuan wears it at work, a worker asks him about and he replies that his daughter made it. Later when he was having lunch, Ah-Yuan sees a newspaper report and realizes Dao Ming Si's true identity and that he is on escape for hurting someone.

Xin Xin and Dao Ming Si are sitting by the beach. Xin Xin wants Dao Ming Si to draw on her chalkboard.
Dao Ming Si: "I won't draw. (Xin Xin shakes him) I said I won't draw. (she shakes him again) I really won't draw."
Xin Xin throws down the chalk angrily and starts to pout.
Dao Ming Si: "Why is your temper so bad? If Xi Men and Mei Zuo knows that I'm being bullied by a little girl, they will laugh to death. (he starts drawin on the board) Eh.. Do you know, I'm Dao Ming Si."
Xin Xin just looks at him and smiles. The two of them start drawing on the board. At that moment, Ah-Yuan rushes home. He grabs Xin Xin away.
Dao Ming Si: "Why are you home so early today?"
Ah-Yuan: "It's really windy out here, lets go inside."
He picks Xin Xin up and leaves. He puts Xin Xin down on a chair and gives something to her to play with. Ah-Yuan sits down and thinks.
